The mobility experts for over 120 years

The AvD, Germany’s oldest automobile association, has been bundling and representing the interests of motorists since 1899. On 11 July 1926, the AvD staged the 1st German Grand Prix on the AVUS circuit in Berlin. To date, it has been the responsible sporting organiser more than 75 times. Since the 2021 season, the AvD Young Talent Team has been competing in the Opel e-Rally Cup with the AvD’s own competition car. In 2021 and 2022, the AvD also took over the sporting organisation of the DTM championship.

With its broad range of services such as worldwide breakdown assistance, including its own 24/7 in-house emergency call centre, global car and travel insurance, driver training courses and appealing events, the AvD supports its members’ mobility and promotes road safety in general.
